狗脊概述
狗脊为蚌壳蕨科植物金毛狗的干燥根茎。秋、冬二季采挖，除去泥沙，干燥；
或去硬根、叶柄及金黄色绒毛，切厚片，干燥，为“生狗脊片”；蒸后晒至六、七成干，切厚片，干燥，为“熟狗脊片”；生于山脚沟边及林下阴处酸性土上。
《神农本草经》记载：“主腰背强，关机缓急，周痹，寒湿膝痛，颇利老人。”
狗脊各家论述
《本草经疏》记载：“狗脊，苦能燥湿，甘能益血，温能养气，是补而能走之药也。肾虚则腰背强，机关有缓急之病，滋肾益气血，则腰背不强，机关无缓急之患矣。周痹寒湿膝痛者，肾气不足，而为风寒湿之邪所中也，兹得补则邪散痹除而膝亦利矣。
老人肾气衰乏，肝血亦虚，则筋骨不健，补肾入骨，故利老人也。失溺不节，肾气虚脱故也。”
狗脊性状
【性味】 味苦，甘，性温。
【归经】 归肝，肾经。
根茎呈不规则的长块状，表面深棕色，密被光亮的金黄色茸毛，上部有数个棕红色叶柄残基，下部丛生多数棕黑色细根；质坚硬，难折断。气无，味微涩。
