土茯苓概述
土茯苓为百合科植物光叶菝葜的干燥根茎，常于夏、秋二季采挖，除去须根，洗净后干燥入药。
《本草纲目》记载：“健脾胃，强筋骨，去风湿，利关节，止泄泻；治拘挛骨痛，恶疮痈肿，解汞粉、银朱毒。”
土茯苓各家论述
《本草正义》记载：“土茯苓，利湿去热，能入络，搜剔湿热之蕴毒。其解水银、轻粉毒者，彼以升提收毒上行，而此以渗利下导为务，故专治杨梅毒疮，深入百络，关节疼痛，甚至腐烂，又毒火上行，咽喉痛溃，一切恶症。”
土茯苓性状
【性味】味甘，淡，性平。
【归经】归肝、胃经。
呈长圆形或不规则的薄片，边缘不整齐，切面类白色至淡红棕色，粉性，可见点状维管束及多数小亮点；以水湿润后有黏滑感。气微，味微甘、涩。
